The module to manually override or extend prediction data from other prediction sources.
Process
The PROTIDE prediction data comes from various (automated) prediction sources and systems (mostly MATROOS). The Manual predictions module provides the possibility to manually override or extend some prediction data sources by authorized users.
Details
- Some data sources, marked as manual extended, can only be extended. If no prediction data is available for a specific period, data points can be added to extend the prediction bounds. This prediction data will however have the lowest order within calculations and when other data sources are available, these will get priority.
- Other data sources, marked as manual override, can be overridden . Based on other prediction data, a new prediction curve can be created, which will have the highest priority to determine (weather) conditions for tidal window calculations.
- To add or change prediction data through the diagram, select the Edit option in the diagram menu. A blue border will outline the diagram, and data points can be added / changed by using mouseclicks. The first click will not appear in the diagram; if a second data point is added however, a line can be drawn and the curve is shown.
- Clicks that are near to the date/time value of an other entry, will change the value of that data point instead of adding new information.
- To add, change or delete prediction data more precisely through the table, select the Edit option in the table menu.
- The diagram and table can be used alternately to edit data.
- Manual edits are directly saved into the database, no extra confirmation or saving is necessary.
