The module for starting tidal window calculations and information on the status of calculations.
Process
When a tidal window request is entered into the system, it can be calculated with a variety of calculation variables. These are either required or optional. Active and queued calculations will be shown in the Status monitor.
Details
- Ticking the Use manual predictions box ensures that any manually added prediction information in the Manual predictions module is used in the calculation.
- Ticking the Use channel bottom elevation box ensures that any manually added channel bottom elevations in the Channel bottom elevations module will be used in the calculation to determine the channel depth.
- Selecting an Earliest route start time will determine if a route can be found from a time other than the Requested time of departure. The start time can be any time for which prediction data is available.
- Selecting more than one request will queue multiple calculations with the same calculation variables at the same time.
- The current calculation duration should lie within 5 to 15 minutes.
- The current calculation capacity is 4 concurrent calculations.
- The Status monitor can be easily updated by using the Refresh option in the table menu.
- Finished calculations will disappear from the Status monitor and the resulting advices are made available in the Advices module. Information on unsuccessful calculations can be found in the Statuses module.
